Wishing all a very Happy and Blessed Solstice! I hardly know where to start for this post...the amount of learning and understanding about many things has transpired. I'm becoming much more comfortable in working with my oracle deck and even the grounding and centering before each reading has been the result of considerable guidance and direction from my guides. I received a very welcome and astounding confirmation as to how much has really changed within me, even from a few years ago. And of course, no post would be complete without a few words about my little goddaughter, who has now been with us for just over a month. She's a very special little girl and to say I'm honoured to play the role of godfather to her, quite honestly, is an enormous understatement and has drawn a few tears of intense gratitude.

1)  Sacred Sign...Suspended

One of the most valuable tools at my disposal is in the use of Sacred Signs. Simply put, when I encounter a difficulty in making a decision I request to be shown a specific sign, within a specified time period, to indicate the course of action that is in my highest and greatest good. Two key components, as far as waiting for the signs to arrive are, at times, almost contradictory. On one hand, it's imperative that one remains detached from the outcome but at the same time, one has to be ultra-aware to notice them when they arrive. And not seeing a sign is a sign in itself. An opportunity presented itself in much the same manner as getting my present job. There were just too many coincidences to brush it aside as such and involved an opening that would relocate me to another part of the city at a different site. The same basic job description with some variation but key to all of this was one very important factor. This location had been my first choice when I had initially approached the company I work for...it's in an area known as "Old South" and in my opinion one of the most beautiful. One of the "coincidences" was a call from my present boss on the last open day for applications. I had jokingly remarked that I had assumed she wanted to see me to let me know I was being transferred to this other site, which had only recently come under her portfolio due to the restructuring.

She appeared quite shocked for some reason and asked if I had submitted an application, which I hadn't because I didn't realize it had been a requirement. After calling me "my dear" (she's a great boss and nice person in general but had never called me that), supplied an application and informed me only a few had been received but stopped short of saying the position was definitely mine.

Now here's the strange part...Over the last few months I have felt and seen very evident signs that a change was in the near future. When I examined how this opportunity presented itself, on the last day of applications, as well as some other aspects to this situation, I realized clearly that I needed to take action. Each query to my guides, Arabelle my doctor teacher especially, indicated this and I followed through. Still, a small part of me wanted to be absolutely certain so I requested a sacred sign to confirm this.

I requested to be shown an ouroboros within 24 hours to indicate that I should follow through and submit the application. For an entire evening, it seemed that every second channel I turned to on TV had this basic shape very prominently displayed and my head was literally spinning. This was over the course of the final night and with 4 hours left, I was feeling quite odd. I hadn't been shown an actual ouroboros but the regularity of similar shapes (an incredible number) was too obvious to be ignored. Feeling restless, I had sat quietly for a second and, in my mind, clearly heard the words, "This is a gift. Just accept it."

A few minutes later, I went into my sacred space and resepctfully asked that my sign request be withdrawn because I was certain the answer had already arrived. On only one other occasion have I done this and only because I sensed, within myself, the answer I sought had been made known. One key aspect in using sacred signs is a means of determining when a sign has arrived and, like dream interpretation, is unique to the individual.

2)  Oracle Wisdom

As you know, I finally purchased my first oracle deck and it was at the direction of my guides. In the last month or so, it has been an interesting time of discovery and learning, for both myself and my guides. One of the crucial elements is grounding and centering before even touching the deck, and then establishing an understanding of how I'd like to receive the guidance and messages they need to pass on to me. One can use whatever method they're comfortable with and I've become accustomed to a one card draw from the top of the deck. Some will shuffle and then spread them out (known as a spread) and then choose whatever they feel drawn to. It's all dependent on what they've agreed to with their personal guides.

I was exposed to a very powerful symbol known as a Tibetan Dumo and, at the time, it seemed like just a random bit of information that was fascinating but also one used mainly by reiki practitioners, which I am not. The symbol itself does little...the real power comes from either focusing on it, visualizing it or chanting it. Feeling drawn very strongly to do so and because my main ability is clairvoyance, I opted for the visualization. Before grounding and centering, I envisioned forming this symbol slowly in the air in front of me and then infusing it with a bright golden energy. Immediately, even after the first attempt, I experienced a massive energy surge throughout my entire body that slowly trickled off to a kind of humming.

The follow-up, which is now my established method of orienting to the vibration of my doctor teacher guide, is three complete cycles of rhythmic breathing (sometimes a 4-2-4-2 count and at others an 8-6-8-6 count) through my third eye chakra, visualizing indigo energy sweeping through my entire body...and I can feel it spread quickly to my toes and fingertips. The incantation is varied but normally includes: "I now open myself to new insights, ideas and information from my guides. They are flowing freely to me now." Only then do I tell my guides how I would like to receive their information (top of the deck) and then begin to shuffle, stopping when I feel urged to.

I'm still not sufficiently educated or experienced to read the cards without the guide book but a few items are worth noting, as far as my continued learning about them. There has been a dramatic increase in my claircognizance (a "knowing" about a situation) and the amount of knowledge I've accumulated in this brain of mine, over the last 6 years, has begun to become quite noticeable and relevant. Another item is that, even if I begin to do a reading for myself, I can switch to include a specific question involving another person and receive a very definite answer.

You may immediately question the ethical considerations of reading for somebody without their knowledge or consent and it is something that has played on my mind. However, when I am in my sacred space, which is set aside exclusively for magick and spell work, as well as all altered state work I do, nothing is ever random. If I am being directed to make a request for information or guidance for another person, it arrives for a purpose. There a very few who I have done this for, one of them being my goddaughter's mother. She has recently renewed her interest in spiritual matters and has encountered both prophetic dreams (that have become reality) and flashes of very pronounced intuition, both of which I am very familiar with. My intent or queries are never regarding personal matters but are strictly spiritual in nature. The last message I received for her came from her own guides and involved the reason why she was suddenly experiencing these moments of psychic awareness. Believe it or not, it came from a one card draw (as opposed to a three card draw sometimes employed by mediums and psychics) and it was VERY plain. I cannot reveal that here, for ethical reasons, but I can tell you it was extremely relevant to her situation.

Psychic Abilities...Why Now?

On almost a daily basis, we are reminded that a growing number of people worldwide are awakening to the reality that we all possess psychic abilities. From the small child who begins having prophetic dreams about future events to an adult being able to discern an image or idea from a time or place that the viewer has never visited or seen, instances and variations of these gifts cannot be denied... by anybody with a reasonably open mind. The difficulty arrives when our programming from childhood - courtesy of religion - continues long into adulthood and taints the real picture that is developing around us. One can put their head in the sand and claim it can't be real or it must be "devil inspired" and search for others with a similarly narrow mindset or they can "stray" from the "truth" and be expected to repent. Science, as well, has played a major hand in this fallacy, demanding proof of its existence, under laboratory conditions. What is ironic is that proof has already been put forward and is very evident to anybody with a reasonable amount of intelligence. One just has to Google Indigo or Crystal children, for example, and they will be amazed at the variety of talents and abilities that are, only now, being given serious consideration by the scientific community.

One just has to do some research...For instance, the US government initiated a program now known as "Star Gate" in the 70's, that employed "psychic spies" who were able to obtain incredible amounts of relevant and very useful information from remote viewing. In other major countries like China and Russia, these psychic spies are still employed and still making very worthwhile contributions to intelligence services. Why would these countries spend billions on R&D, over decades, if there wasn't some merit in these activities? All of them presently employ gifted and specially trained personnel for intelligence gathering but much has been learned during this time. Instead of merely being passive viewers, this new breed of psychic spies are now using their abilities to enact changes on a physical level. If you don't think they're being used for assassinations and mind control, I hate to break the news to you...but they are! The web of lies and deceit, especially involving the US government, has no beginning and no end...one lie must be used to cover up another and so on. Think of the raging debate over UFO's and you'll begin to understand.

Throughout history, there have been numerous recorded accounts of enlightened individuals who dared to challenge the church in claiming that psychic abilities are natural human traits. Their chief argument was that one did not have to be in collusion with "the devil" to perform healing, (unless you were specifically recognized by the same church), to have intuition or even experience prophetic dreams. Consider the life of Joan of Arc, a personal heoine of mine; initially she was regarded as a messenger of God and led her country back from the brink of English dominance. Her claim was that God spoke to her and the church was quite accommodating until her usefulness ended and jealousy set in. She was branded a heretic and was eventually burned at the stake... even after a forced confession where she recanted her convictions of being God's messenger. It was horribly brutal, even by the standards of those dark times. My point is that, throughout history, we have evidence in numerous texts of people who possessed unique psychic abilities but these have been very few in number.

So, what has changed? The Catholic church, namely the Vatican, has made a very noticeable effort to expand it's acceptance of the reality of psychic gifts and paranormal phenomenon and, from my viewpoint, they are to be commended. One can only hope that this trend will eventually filter into other organized religions who have very rigid guidelines expected of their followers, when it comes to related matters. But something has changed in the last half century that has not been witnessed in our entire history. People are no longer content to blindly accept these "truths" when they "know" or sense, within themselves, that these abilities are very real and do not appear in just the few "chosen ones".

So, what has changed and why at this point in our history?

With the emergence of a global information highway, people are now able to access enormous amounts of information that is totally uncensored by the church or government...for the first time since man was able to communicate such information with each other. Certainly, aspects of metaphysics and spiritual disciplines were gleaned and gathered from the remotest regions by travelers and spiritual students but never to the degree that we find today. I firmly believe this is one reason but hardly the most significant.

What has changed is a growing awareness that each person is entitled to a spiritual path of their own choosing, something that wasn't accepted until the last half century. Increasing numbers are finding that the church in general does not offer a reasonable solution to their spiritual growth. Knowledge is indeed power and many are waking up to the fact that all of these new spiritual insights and awarenesses can be either accepted or dismissed...and we have the right to choose what is acceptable to us, as unique individuals. The emergence of "New Age" spiritualism has taken the world by storm as people begin to realize that the religious teachings, forced on them by a close-minded church, are not "as advertised". We are beginning to understand the simple concept that there is not just one way to the Creator, as we've been previously informed, but numerous avenues and it is our right - as spiritual beings - to choose for ourselves.

As a result of these new schools of thought, we've opened ourselves up to incredible possibilities. On a personal note, I was raised in a Baptist home but never found the dogma to be accurate or particularly helpful, even at a young age. For years, I was in misery, spiritually, because I had been force-fed the notion that I MUST believe as they do or face an eternity in hell. I cannot express how liberating it was to finally understand that I was placed on this earth, at this point in time, to find and express my own unique spiritual message. Had I allowed the erroneous teachings and close-minded attitude to continue to run my life, I shudder to think of where I'd be right now. I would never have experienced or worked with magick, established an incredible relationship with my spirit guides and my Creator, let alone the realization that I was a medium with clairvoyant abilities...or that I'd be spending much of my free time in learning to develop them. My interest and desire to learn and share what I've been taught send shivers throughout my body, largely because I know, with a certainty, that my gifts and talents are not "devil-inspired" but rather come from directly from a loving Divine Creator. It is has been made plain to me, on countless occasions, that it is my duty and responsibility to develop and use them in a manner that demonstrates the Creator's love and assists others on their own journey. Quite honestly, nothing else gives me greater pleasure or satisfaction.

In my humble opinion, it is this search for our own unique spirituality that has finally opened the doors of our mind to incredible new possibilities...possibilities that were not available or even known 50 years ago. With the Shift almost upon us, many people are awakening to their true spiritual and psychic potential and the role they will play to help usher in this new age of mankind. This is all happening as it should, at this point in our history, because we've collectively decided to actively pursue our own unique spiritual message.

A pompous English naval officer years ago said to a newly-arrived officer,  "Well. young man, I suppose your being here is the same old story - the fool of the family sent to sea?" "No, sir," the young man replied, "that's all changed since your day."

I was able to spend a few glorious hours with my little goddaughter Talliyah and most of it was spent just holding her. Her father is from Jamaica and was here on a visa that expired some time ago. It was only a matter of time until immigration caught up with him...it happened recently and has had a profound effect on both her and her mother. Talliyah has been able to sense the tension and pain her mother has been feeling and has been understandably a little difficult. In regards to this, I would respectfully ask for your prayers in a favourable resolution to this mess. Because he has a child here, they claim they may not send him back but a few other problems have arisen and it is really in the air at present.

One unique aspect to this situation is that Talliyah's aunt had a child who is about a month older and while there today, was given the privilege of sitting for both of them, while their mothers went out for a couple smoke breaks. Talliyah stirred a few times on my chest but continued to sleep quite soundly and it touched my heart. That she would feel safe and secure with me brought tears to my eyes as I thought about it. There was an incident, however, that was quite unusual.

Holding her, I had lain back and closed my eyes and then very clearly sensed a presence close by. My third eye "saw" something sitting right beside us on the couch and my immediate response was a quiet and quick, "This child is under my protection." It was odd because I sensed no animosity at all...in fact, exactly the opposite. For a few seconds longer, I tried to sense any ill intent but could not. My "gut feeling" was that this was her protector guide and I made a heartfelt request the they continue to watch over this precious little girl. No, no words were spoken by the entity, nor were there any noticeable signs or symbols revealed but I felt some kind of agreement, if that's the word, being relayed to me. I have not encountered this before so I had no basis for comparison but I do know now, she is well protected.

One other very noteworthy occurrence needs to be written here because it was a very vivid example of how much my energy has changed. A few years ago, I had been returning home and came across a cell phone on the street, outside of a bar. Being a good Samaritan, I had picked it up thinking that I could find the owner and return it. The owner called and began to curse me out...eventually he understood that I hadn't stolen it and had made an effort to find the owner through the stored phone book. Arrangements were made and one of his buddies came and picked it up it with barely a thank you. At the time, I was quite annoyed.

Returning home the other night, I ran across a Blackberry that somebody had dropped and, needless to say, was very hesitant to get involved again. I honestly spent a full five minutes considering what I should do, with the last encounter still a bad taste in my mouth. In a reading on that day, one of the messages from my guides had been regarding abundance and the need for me to take advantage of every opportunity to help others, in whatever way I could. With this coming to the front of my mind and remaining, I picked the phone up and continued home. About an hour later it rang, and my first words, before they even spoke, were  "Do you know how to get in touch with the owner of this phone? They dropped it on the street (gave the location) and I picked it up, hoping to return it." The phone, it turned out, belonged to a couple that were visiting the city and arrangements were made to meet with them. Instead of the 20 minutes the man had suggested, they did not show up for over an hour and I was a bit annoyed. The whole time, the last event was playing in my mind and I had visions of receiving the same lack of gratitude. (Yes, I still have much to learn.) To sum up, I met them and turned the phone over...and was given $20 for my efforts! To me, it was an incredible example of how very different my energy now was, even from a few years ago. And the type that I was attracting was completely different as well. My lessons: 1) Never falter to lend a hand, if I feel the urge to do so because that is never random. (2) Learn to give more freely without any expectation of a return. For the most part, this second one is extremely important to me and I do apply it but, every now and then, incidents like this occur that bring me back "in tune" with my spiritual objectives.

One other aspect of this situation centers on the growing relationship with my guides and has become very prominent. The reality is that my needs are always supplied. That sounds like a radical claim but I am quite serious. At times, I need to request specific things but necessities in general always seem to be filled because they know in advance what my needs will be. It all boils down to trust, which is something I have great difficulty with at times. I am learning, through incidents like this, that my trust in them is never misplaced. Short answer: I really needed that $20!
